REUNITED CODE OF ETHICS
1. Respect & Compassion
We treat every individual with dignity, empathy, and respect. We acknowledge that each person’s recovery journey is unique, and we support them without judgment or discrimination.
2. Confidentiality & Trust
We maintain strict confidentiality and ensure that all personal and sensitive information shared is protected. Building trust with those we serve is paramount in our mission.
3. Honesty & Integrity
We act with transparency and uphold integrity in all our interactions. We are truthful, ethical, and make decisions that are always in the best interest of those we support.
4. Empowerment & Self-Determination
We empower individuals to take control of their recovery, respecting their autonomy and supporting them in making informed choices about their lives.
5. Inclusivity & Equity
We ensure that everyone, regardless of race, background, identity, or recovery path, has equal access to support. We embrace all forms of recovery, including harm reduction, faith-based, non-faith-based, medication-assisted recovery, and more.
6. Peer-Centered Support
As a peer-based organization, we focus on shared lived experience. While we do not provide clinical services, we offer mentorship, guidance, and emotional support based on mutual understanding and respect.
7. Collaboration & Community
We value teamwork and recognize that long-term recovery is best achieved through collaboration with individuals, families, and community partners. We work together to create a supportive, inclusive recovery community.
8. Social Justice & Advocacy
We advocate for the rights of individuals in recovery, particularly those from marginalized or underserved communities. We strive to reduce stigma and ensure equitable access to resources.
9. Boundaries & Professionalism
We maintain clear, respectful boundaries in all professional relationships. We avoid conflicts of interest and ensure that our actions are guided by ethical standards, not personal gain.
10. Responsibility & Accountability
We take full responsibility for our actions and hold ourselves accountable to the people we serve, the community, and our values. We are committed to maintaining the trust placed in us.
REUNITED PEER CLIENT BILL OF RIGHTS
As a client, you have the right to:
Expect providers to meet the minimum qualifications and certification standards.
Access the Minnesota Certification Board’s records of the provider’s credentials.
Be informed of service costs before receiving services.
Maintain privacy as defined by law.
Be free from unlawful discrimination.
Access your records upon request.
Be free from exploitation.
Terminate services at any time.
CLIENT GRIEVANCE POLICY AND PROCEDURE
Reunited will not retaliate against a peer recovery support services participant because of a complaint.
If a client is dissatisfied with decisions or actions taken during the recovery process, they are encouraged to:
Discuss concerns with their Peer Recovery Support Specialist (PRS).
If not satisfied, submit a written grievance to the Reunited Board of Directors at reunitedrecovery@gmail.com.
The Board will respond within 5 business days.
Appeals can be submitted and will be responded to within 7 business days.
Clients have the right to bypass these steps and file a grievance directly with the Department of Human Services.
Further, if you have a complaint about the provider or the person providing your peer recovery support services, you may contact the Minnesota Alliance of Recovery Community Organizations (MARCO). You may also contact the Office of Ombudsman for Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities.

4. Complaint Procedure
If you believe you have experienced or witnessed discrimination, please report it to nathananderson.reunited@gmail.com or call (320) 403-1850. You are also welcome to follow the grievance policy. We take all concerns seriously, and retaliation is prohibited.

We are committed to ongoing education and training to ensure a safe, inclusive, and non-discriminatory environment for all.
All Pathways to Recovery Policy
Purpose
Reunited is dedicated to supporting individuals in all stages and forms of recovery. This policy ensures our commitment to an inclusive, nonjudgmental approach that respects every recovery journey.
Policy Statement
Reunited supports all recovery pathways without discrimination. We do not exclude or judge anyone based on their chosen path. Recovery is personal, and we honor all approaches, including:
Harm reduction strategies
Faith-based and non-faith-based recovery
Medication-assisted recovery (e.g., MOUD)
12-step and non-12-step programs
Cultural, traditional, or indigenous practices
Guiding Principles
Inclusivity: All individuals are treated with dignity and respect.
Autonomy: Everyone has the right to choose their recovery path.
Non-judgment: Staff and volunteers maintain neutrality and support.
Accessibility: Services are available regardless of recovery model.
Education: Staff receive training to support all recovery approaches.
Implementation
Intake and assessments do not favor any recovery ideology.
Staff are trained in harm reduction, trauma-informed care, and cultural humility.
We offer or connect individuals with a wide range of recovery resources.
All materials and communications reflect inclusive, respectful language.
Review and Oversight
This policy is reviewed annually and updated as needed to stay current with best practices. Feedback from staff and program participants helps guide improvements.
REUNITED CONFLICT OF INTEREST POLICY
All individuals involved with Reunited must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could interfere with their responsibilities.
Disclosure Process: Conflicts must be disclosed to the Executive Director or Board of Directors for review.
Enforcement: Failure to disclose conflicts may lead to corrective action.
